Born in Genova where he lives and works at present as well as Milano and Torino.

1984
Final year at the Artistic College (N.Barabino) in Genova.

1989
Final year at the Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti in Genova. He starts approaching the professional world of photography and videos.



1986
First photographic works and series in W/B. He begins a research on the body (which is currently carried on with specific equipment) and its chromatics and visual ambiguities. From here photographic series in big formats start, as "TRACCE DI NOTIZIE" (news traces) "VEROSIMIGLIANZE"(verisimilitudes) and "FOTOGRAFIE" (photographies), which put trueness of appearances in prospective. These will all be soon part of personals or collectives in Italy. First approaches with private and public Art Galleries as well as alternatives exibihitions places in Genova and other cities (Sibaria Opendoks-GE o Caffč Voltaire-FI).

1987/88
First personals of photography in Genova, Roma ,Vercelli, Brescia. A new cooperation with Ken Damy Photogallery begins with its foreign and Italian galleries; Polaroid Italia with which collectives in Boston and European cities will follow.

1989/91
He starts experiencing the interest for the elimination of "biodimentionality" of photographic image, towards the improvement of total analysis within space and opera. Even if the photo amongst the used materials will remain the same, in fact this will be placed on steel, Plexiglas, glass and iron, and it will eventually be place to a confrontation within common objects, creating in this way a combined sculpture to which a video will be also combined. Projects and installation like "NEOGRIGIO" or "INTERAZIONI - TOTEM" will also get utilised in cooperation with other artists, critics like: E.Cirone; V.Conti; S.Ricaldone; F.Rosso and E.Marasco will start writing about him. Amongst the first personals " PORZIONI MODULARI" by V.Fagone; M.Vescovo; J.Gerighausen dalla galleria Leonardi V-IDEA in Genova. Work group formation: ARTE COME EVOCAZIONE, together with Costa and Cristaldi (as well as A.Spalluto, G.Norese, L.Agostini, C.Cantono) which within the year generates five illustrated catalogues on the events and eight multimedia productions in Italy where art is not normally hosted, like factories, typographies, paper factories, madhouses and private galleries, in cooperation with other artists as well, like Getulio Alviani, Franco Vaccari.

1992/93
Co-founder of a second group "ACE", formed in Torino in 1992 (and dissolved in 1997/98), concerning all the "social" aspects associated with Art, and its information system; an artistic group activity parallel to the individual one, with the aim of expanding the artistic system all over the country. It has developed projects in cooperation with artists, professionals and institutions (Salone del Libro in Torino, Amnesty International, Regione Piemonte. Castello di Rivara, Rivara (TO) 1994.

His work it's presented in the edition of "SPLENDENTE", the last appointment but one of the annual series held at Castello di Volpaia. By Luciano Pistoi.
The job of the artist is now settled on line with a search for " ambiguity of languages", intending the feeling and objects' ones which surround us. Search that is clearly shown in projects like "OLTRE" "ATTRAVERSO", "BERSAGLI".

1994/95
Projects with ACE continue with: "STORY", "TANDEM", "SOUVENIR", "MARKET", "EUROPE", in Torino, Grangesis, Colonia and Monaco.
In Italy and abroad, he start cooperating with artistic groups with analogue conception of art, such as MALA ARTI VISIVE, VEGETALI IGNOTI, MUSEO TEO, NAME DIFFUSION. "ARS LUX" by S. Grandi, invited by M.senaldi, this latter one widely spread all over Italy; "EQUINOZIO D'AUTUNNO2" at Castello di Rivara, by Franz Paludetto, "FAX ART", by L.Pratesi, "ARTE VIDEO TV", broadcasted by RAI 3; "LOOK TO THE SEA", by C. Benini and Neon Gallery in Bologna, "MESSE 2 OK " in Colonia and "ZUCKER" in Monaco. Personals in Bologna (53), Genova (Alteritą), Torino (Sculture all'Aperto 95).
He also organises exhibitions like: "PER PRESA VISIONE"; "MUSEO TEO A GENOVA"; "CITTA' AD ARTE", where as well as debates and discussions on art and relations with the city, external artists are invited, from all over Italy that prior to this event never shown their projects in Genova. These will eventually get presented in several catalogues like "NUOVA SCENA" edited by Mondadori, indicated by G.Perrella and L. Beatrice.

1996
Cooperation with foreign groups continues thanks to "COMPARTMENT" in Copenaghen, to which new projects will follow. Collectives in Trieste, Roma, Genova, Varese, Milano .A new documentation projects on Internet begins, which will target information and creation (exhibitions, general events). He will also complete projects like: "AUTOBIOGRAFICA", "IN PERFETTA SOLITUDINE", which anticipate the common interest of the author towards problematic related social communication and interpersonal relations The interest on the body and its contents returns, after a prior analysis about its "superficial" characteristics.

1997/99
In " STILL LIFE FOR LIFELIKE PEOPLE "- a new photographic project of huge dimension, there is an hint at advertising images, both for their technical constructions and languages, utilised in their process: there is a try to express a new language, which understanding its "popular" roots, it arrives more directly going around the intellectual artistic codes; it is publicized a thought, it is represented a feeling. With these works, he takes part in some exhibitions like: "SEX" ,Galleria Banchi Nuovi in Roma;" BLUE",Spazio libero per l'arte, c/o Cineplex Porto A ntico in Genova; "ATLANTE",Geografia e storia della giovane arte italiana in Sassari; "QUOTIDIANA- sulll'oggetto", Civica Galleria d'Arte in Padova. In parallel, he goes on with intersting for video productions and for the national and international exhibitions: " ALPE ADRIA CINEMA", IX edition in Trieste; " E' una modesta proposta" AA.VV., Rassegna Video Arte in Rovereto; "NORD- SUD" (by IEDVIF video) in Chiasso; "EXPERIMENTAL", Video Festival in Zurigo.
Begins the first performances shows in exhibitions like: "GAME" at the Modern Art Gallery in Bologna in 98 and "CROSSOVER "at theatre Chiasso in 99.

2000/04
He begins a new photographic series that are supported to foregoing photos like the vintage images of "EMERGENCY OF BEAUTY"(Polaroid image system, cm.9x7), a Polaroid series on big size that groups and compares between them details of body parts like mouths, eye, hands, which isolated and observed in their particulars they recall allusions connected to an hard pornographic iconography.
Moreover, he starts a new videos series:"LUOGHI DI TEMPO", that marks a final abandonment of the screenplay and of "the story", to recover the live shot. There are not any copies, but only long sequences never turned over. On this way he starts a series of video, a work in progress titled "L.D.T.-RESPIRI" where some girls' mouths , of different standard, are breathing for about 45 mn. in front of a transparent glass.
In this performance they denounce more than a physiological need:they surface hidden emotivities, needs,perplexities. He takes part at several reviews like: "VIA CRUCIS 2000", Museo di S.Agostino in Genova; "GLOBE LA TORRE DI BABELE" ,Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Genova and " ITALIAN CONNECTION" in Berna.
He has asked to the museum of Villa Croce in Genoa to take part in GLOBE in 2001 and DALLO SCIROCCO AL FOHN in 2002 in which he presented some photographic installations and video projections on wall.
Between 2002 and 2003 he takes part to "Artissima" and some festivals and international video reviews, he starts collaborations with musicians and directors like Andrea Liberovici for which he edits the images in "Integral", musical piece ordered by Atelier de Creation Radiophonique de France Culture and by INA-GRM.
The working at a new multimedial project are starting:"circular bodies", from which it'll be taken a video, a new photographic series and some installations and the event "anatomy of melancholy" shown in Villaģ Croce Museum in Genoa, this work will be made with the collaboration of William Basinski, american musician and videomaker,afterwards it 'll be shown in Arcadia in New York residence of the Music and Media Laboratories of Basinski.
