A frames series taken out of homonymous video and printed on photographic paper 10x14, on dibond panels and spaced out the wall create an installation of 400 pieces together to the screening in big size of the video from which are been taken with the soundtrack by William Basinski, American musician and videomaker. 
This multimedial installation is part of the project Anatomy of Melancholy, exactly in teamwork with Basinski and shown in Genoa in world premiere.

(…) in his installation of about 400 small pieces, which represent details of a male and a female body, achieves his anatomy, on sight a cold operation lacking of the unquestionable warmth and sweetness of the melancholy. But the melancholy, yearning and sharp blade of poets, creeps from time to time into the Arena’s anatomy and deprives it for a little of its apparent analytic way, while the Basinski’s music shows its appearance cleaner and icier of a sound absolutely made in a technologic way. That’s the two roads meet, intersect and the mosaic’s tessera invented by Francesco, coincide perfectly into the sonorous spaces left by William’s melody. Similes that are not only “ usual” likeness, but also that are metaphors apparatus of semiosis.(…)

The portfolios which have been taken from this work consist of 5 lambda print on photographic paper, each of size 30 x 45 cm, signed and numbered with embrossing stamp by the artist in 10 copies.

A polaroids and photos series of huge size that compare and group between them body details as mouths, hands, eyes and expressions that isolated in their particoulars ,recall to action and emotivity connected to an hard pornography.
Recently subjects and situations photographed are inclined to a subtle violence that leaks in the analitic and minute corporal description.
